Some of you may know that I have a friend in New Zealand. She was not affected by the recent earthquake – she lives about 7 hours away. Today she sent me this notice and I thought I would pass it along. I will be sending some hearts off in the next couple of weeks. Perhaps you would like to do so as well?

A quilt shop in Taupo, NZ, called Clever Hands is having a Quilts for Christchurch event on March 25th and 26th. Although many of us cannot be there in person, perhaps we can send them our positive thoughts and scraps! I would say to send our finished quilts, but shipping might be a bit pricey. Anyhow, here’s the shop’s web site. Definitely visit this shop if you’re ever in Taupo! It’s so nice and the town is beautiful too.
