Creative Prompt #140: Birthday

Yes, today is my birthday, thus the CPP was obvious –at least to me!

All the world is birthday cake, so take a piece, but not too much.

Happy Birthday

“A friend never defends a husband who gets his wife an electric skillet for her birthday.” Erma Bombeck

Definition: A birthday is a day or anniversary where a person celebrates his or her date of birth.

Post the direct URL (link) where your drawing, doodle, artwork is posted (e.g. your blog, Flickr) in the comments area of this post. I would really like to keep all the artwork together and provide a way for others to see your work and/or your blog, and how your work relates to the other responses.

The Creative Prompt Project, also, has a Flickr group, which you can join to post your responses. Are you already a member? I created that spot so those of you without blogs and websites would have a place to post your responses. Please join and look at all of the great artwork that people have posted.

  1. Happy Birthday! Was it only last year that we came to your big party? Glad it’s not this year, as there are storms in the mountains.

Hope you have a yummy time doing whatever YOU want to do!

    hugs,

    Susan

  2. HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! I hope you have a fantastic day!

I’m definitely going to have to do this week’s CPP! I’ve been a slacker later, but since you included my all time favorite Beatle lyric (from my favorite Beatle), AND it’s your special day, I’m in this time! Now that’s all I’m going to be able to think about for the rest of the work day, hahaha!

    Have a great one!

    1. Happy Birthday, Jill! I like to say that the best people are born in January! 😉 There are lots of great people not born in January as well. I love your Zentangle-ish doodles and the two you posted are wonderful. I love your attitude of start where you are, too!

    1. I think it has good bones. Perhaps the people are too small for the size of the page? It seems like you have a lot of white space. What if you tried a quick redo simply adding a horizon line?
