  1. Mornin’, Jaye. I really *am* spending the day logging in inventory, so the half-caff is brewing (Starbucks ‘breakfast blend’… I’m in lurve) anyway, to answer your comments… the cotton in question is ‘Sugar&Cream’ in a color called ‘swimming pool’. It was sent from MN by tag team member Carrie. The chairs I can tell you are covered in a fabric called “Galaxy Marble”, and I can’t remember the manufacturer, but I’ll tip pne of the ‘girls’ over and check later today when I’m in town.
I’d mentioned once in a post how I’d spent all this time, patchworking and knitting in a bubble, because I had not one like-minded friend, then a husband’s co-worker got hooked on knitting and we’ve been pals ever since (that would be redrhonda) and though I still don’t have a ‘quilting buddy’, I think Melly is *really* close. She just has to make an actual top… then she’s OURS…the shop sort of happened out of my frustration that I could never find the stuff I liked locally. Being the stubborn person I am, I decided to throw myself all in to this endeavor. I’m glad to hear you like the ‘style’ of Clementine’s, because *she* (aren’t alter-egos useful?) won’t put up with rude sales help, boring fabric, or cheap/acrylic yarn (she has nothing to do with dish rag tag… I’m as shocked as she was by how fun it was!) I know I’ll be in a bind when it comes to hiring help at the shop. I’m devising a trivia test to gauge knitting/ sewing savvy, but you can’t force someone into having a ‘personality’. That’s where most shops fall down, by hiring zombies…I’m still hoping and praying about the sales ‘help’… well, time for my coffee. Show us more BLOCKS! Cami

  2. LOL!!! Cami: You are totally hilarious! I am sure you will pick great help. Have you read the Knit Cafe book? That shop sounds so cool Strive for that type of feeling.

And… as soon as I have more blocks I will post them. I am in slow mode right now. Too much work. Soon, though. Can’t wait to hear about the manufacturer of the chairs.
