Enamoured with Fabric Envelopes

I have no good reason for liking these. They are not practical, take a lot of work and are single use in many cases. Still I like them. I have seen them before and when I found out Design Sponge had posted another supply list and pattern, I had to take a look. Perhaps if I make one I’ll get over being enamoured.

  1. These look like fun. I would probably use them to store things, instead of mailing them.

I found some templates earlier this year for making envelopes — regular letter-type envelopes, in different sizes. I am sure they intended them for use with paper, but I bought them thinking it would be fun to make fabric envelopes. Might be a good thing to play with while it is too hot outside to have fabric in my lap! Thanks for the reminder and the inspiration!

  2. TFQ: I think that storing things in them would be a good idea. Although, I would mail them to YOU if I made some, because I know you would appreciate them and not throw them out. I’ll post your envelope efforts to this blog if you want me to; just let me know.

Beena: They look like another fun and relatively quick project, don’t you think.

Sherri: What a perfect application! It would definitely make the card memorable. Do post a picture.
