MetroScape Block 1

MetroScape Block 1
MetroScape Block 1

I finished the block and it was very satisfying. I really needed a piecing project.

I also like how cheerful this block is. Those giant dots are great.

I used some Philip Jacobs fabric in the centers of the corners because why not?

One excellent thing about this pattern is that the directions say to trim certain parts. This means that the sections go together really well!

I already started working on the next block!

  1. That looks astounding. Curves are hard and that block is so neat!!! It looks hard to do too. How many more will you make, eh? (wink wink) 🙂

    1. I have started the next one and that is all I will commit to. 🙂 The curves are very gentle and I pin a lot so the piecing went very smoothly. I sewed slowly so this first block too me awhile, but I expect to speed up as I make more.

    1. The MetroScape (pattern is called MetroSCOPE) block is 19″. It seems like a weird size, but I can’t believe I would be off by an inch. The centers of the corners are 2.5″, so a good size to fussy cut. I am using Philip Jacob and Martha Negley fabrics for those squares to change it up a little.
